Frequently Asked Questions
Is this religious?
Not at all. The word “Spiritual” gets a bad rap. For me, it’s just another word for “psychology.” We’re just looking through it with a different lens. Religion is something you’re told. Spirituality is something you experience. It’s the same work you’re familiar. It’s just using new world psychology, but combining it with ancient teachings that have been around for thousands of years.
What is Shadow Work?
The term “Shadow” was originally coined by Karl Jung. Shadow Work is a way to release trauma. The Shadow is our dark side. We all have one. “Dark” doesn’t imply “bad.” “Dark” means “hidden.” It’s our repressed side that we can’t see, but still affects us. It’s the side we don’t want to see. It comes from a place of shame. I help my clients integrate their Shadow, by digging deep down and resolving the conflicts they carry from past trauma. Bottling it up isn’t helping in any way. In fact, it’s making it worse. We need to address the trauma, and that will heal the shame.
What is Shamanic Healing?
Shamanism is the oldest spiritual practice known to man. Using a connection to the Spirit World, Shamans can heal the sick, communicate with spirits, escort souls of the dead to the afterlife, perform Soul Retrievals, perform ceremonies for the community, and retrieve divine information. Everything that exists is alive and has a spirit. Quantum Physics speaks of a field of energy that connects all life. Shamans also address a web of life that connects everything. We are all interconnected, including the Earth itself. Shamanic Journeying is traveling to the spirit world to answer the questions that we seek.
You do weddings too?
People are always surprised when they hear about all the different types of work I do. As a shamanic practitioner, an energy healer, and a life coach, I offer many different types of services. Shamans covered many different roles for the tribes. They would work as medicine men, doctors, therapists, priests, counselors, judges, etc. They would also conduct all the rituals. And we still have rituals in today’s society. Most specifically weddings, funerals, and baptisms. Yes. There are non religious baptisms. Because all a baptism is is a naming ceremony. You are simply introducing your child’s name to the community. I also can cleanse your house of different spirits and energy. So I can work as a ghost hunter as well. The things us healers are capable of is very vast.
